I honor the faith and belief of everyone I meet, and with my textiles hope to bring further depth and meaning to religious and spiritual rituals and practices. Each piece is carefully created, with its purpose in mind. The purpose and spirit of the ritual are held in the mind and heart of the artist as each piece is created.

I have had a lifetime of interest in religion and spirituality, as well as in art. My personal exploration has taken many forms. My education has included Jewish Day School, a Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation through my Synagogue, and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Religion. I taught a semester-long class on religion to my high school peers, and my personal exploration of religion has included workshops, conferences and other experiences not limited to classroom education.
Although I come from a Jewish background, I have spent a great deal of time learning to understand and respect others’ traditions. Courses of study have included Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Confucianism, Shinto, Taoism, Islam, Christianity, Wicca, Hinduism, and various explorations of meditation, spirituality, and healing.
I have created art as long as I can remember and have always found joy in creativity. I have explored painting, drawing, calligraphy, and other media, but have found that my passion lies with textiles. My Studio Art Major in college focused on the textile arts. I am combining my love of textiles with my love of spirituality and creativity, creating Spirit Threads. I would love to create something wonderful to enrich your spiritual practice or home environment.
